Engineering Chargehand

As an Engineering Chargehand you will be responsible for both the depot & fleet engineers and for providing leadership within the engineering department, which will be five days over seven per week including early mornings, evenings and weekends to ensure that the depot is fully supported.

• Assisting to maintain and service our fleet of vehicles to both the Company’s and the Department of Transport’s   exacting standards
• Fault finding and repairs to Company vehicles
• Attending roadside breakdowns
• Ensuring Company health & safety policies and procedures are followed

Essential:

• Possession of a full manual car licence is essential
• Applicants should have a proven track record of supervisory management, the ability to motivate others and have a customer-caring attitude to problem solving
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality is paramount
• Competency at using Microsoft products
• Given the wide range of the role you must be able to demonstrate excellent prioritising skills, as well as decision making and organisational abilities
• A flexible approach to working times and shift patterns is required to reflect the varying needs of this challenging role
